Dr. William J. Dunn is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch, Texas Medical Center at Houston, Texas. He has over 30 years of experience. Upon graduation, Dr. Dunn received the Houston Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award for excellence in oral surgery. He was commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Air Force and recently retired as a Colonel after 30 years of service. He completed a residency in Comprehensive Dentistry in 1994 at Keesler Medical Center and a Fellowship in Dental Materials in 2000 at the University of Florida. He is board certified in Comprehensive Dentistry and is a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry. He was deployed twice in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. During his career, he was appointed as the Air Force Consultant in Dental Materials and Investigations, and he was selected as the First Consultant in Dental Research. He also served as the Consultant to the Surgeon General for Medical Ethics and worked with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs on several medical ethics policy issues.
Dr. Dunn has published more than one hundred scientific articles and abstracts and has lectured internationally. He was the Program Director for the Air Force’s largest one-year General Dentistry Residency Program at Keesler Medical Center and was Commander of the Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service (DECS), the Department of Defense’s premier organization evaluating dental products for use in Federal Dental Clinics. Dr. Dunn’s last military assignment was Senior Training Officer for the two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at Joint Base San Antonio/Lackland AFB, Texas. He was awarded the AMEDD Organizational Order of Military Medical Merit, and upon his military retirement, he received the Legion of Merit. He has maintained a comprehensive practice for over 32 years.
S. Ben Kim, MS, DDS, PLLC has been a comprehensive dentist for over 15 years with an emphasis on surgical and implant dentistry. Dr. Kim graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center–Houston Dental Branch and has over 300 hours of continuing education with all the advances and changes in today's dentistry.
Being a native San Antonian, Dr. Kim understands the demands of his patients' normal Monday-Friday work schedule. He believes in personalized, inclusive patient care and founded Weekend Dentistry and Dental Emergency Care to enable patients to have access to direct dental care seven days a week and after work.
